Terms of Service

By accessing or using the NAVI marketplace platform ("NAVI," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

NAVI is an online marketplace that connects customers seeking local services with independent service providers. NAVI is not a party to any contract between customers and providers, and does not employ, endorse, or supervise service providers.

Beta notice: NAVI is currently in beta. These terms are a starting point and will be reviewed by legal counsel before the platform scales or processes payments.

You must be at least 18 years old to use NAVI. By creating an account, you represent that:

• You are at least 18 years of age.
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
• You will provide accurate and truthful information.
• Your use of NAVI does not violate any applicable law or regulation.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@navilocal.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or cause harm to other users.

For Customers

Customers may post job listings describing work they need completed. You agree that all job descriptions are accurate and lawful. NAVI does not guarantee that you will receive quotes, or that any provider will complete your job to your satisfaction.

For Service Providers

Providers are independent contractors, not employees or agents of NAVI. You are solely responsible for the services you offer, your pricing, your licensing, your insurance, and the quality of your work. By submitting a quote, you agree to honor it if accepted by the customer.

Providers must not misrepresent their qualifications, experience, or ability to complete a job. NAVI reserves the right to remove any provider profile that contains false or misleading information.

NAVI is currently free to use during its beta period. We reserve the right to introduce fees in the future with reasonable advance notice to users.

Any payments made directly between customers and providers occur outside the NAVI platform and are solely the responsibility of those parties. NAVI is not responsible for payment disputes, chargebacks, or non-payment.

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content.
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users.
• Scrape, crawl, or copy the platform's content without written permission.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of NAVI's systems.
• Use NAVI for any unlawful purpose.
• Circumvent NAVI to avoid paying any applicable fees once introduced.
• Post or transmit spam, malware, or unsolicited communications.

Users may post reviews, job descriptions, photos, and other content. By posting content, you grant NAVI a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display and distribute that content in connection with the platform.

You are solely responsible for content you post. NAVI does not verify the accuracy of user-generated content and may remove any content that violates these Terms.

NAVI is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any provider will perform services to your satisfaction.

NAVI does not conduct background checks on providers unless explicitly stated. You are responsible for independently verifying a provider's qualifications, licenses, and insurance before hiring them.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NAVI's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid to NAVI in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100.

NAVI is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the platform or any services obtained through it.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NAVI and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the platform, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which NAVI operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in that state.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use of NAVI after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
